The Dohnányi String Trio is a new exciting ensemble formed in early 2016 committed to exploring the repertoire of this genre, expanding music for string trio and artistic collaborations.

In the summer of 2016 The Dohnányi String Trio was invited to join the Aberdeen International Music Festival, where they participated in a series of masterclasses with members of the Hebrides Ensemble and performed at the festival. The Dohnányi String Trio are members of 'Live Music Now Scotland' and perform regularly around Scotland. In the summer of 2017 The Dohnányi String Trio recorded a new work commissioned by ‘Live Music Now Scotland’ by award winning composer Matt Grouse. The Dohnányi String Trio recently were appointed onto the ‘Live Music Now Scotland’ emerging artist scheme which culminated in a performance in Edinburgh’s Usher Hall.
