The Dohnányi String Trio, on violin, viola and cello, take inspiration from the gallery in a recital including composers such as Schubert, Philip Glass and Pablo Casals. All welcome to this morning concert at Scottish National Gallery on the Mound.
The Dohnányi String Trio is a new exciting ensemble formed in early 2016 committed to exploring the repertoire of this genre, expanding music for this genre and participating in artistic collaborations.
In the summer of 2016 the trio was invited to join the Aberdeen International Music Festival, where they participated in a series of masterclasses with members of the Hebrides Ensemble and performed at the festival. The Dohnányi String Trio were accepted onto the 'Live Music Now Scotland' scheme at the end of 2016.
